Resolutiion's Innovation Centre ResoLabs Partners with University College London

May 11, 2026

Resolutiion, the globally leading Commercial Conflict and Delivery Risk Platform, today announced a partnership between ResoLabs - its in-house innovation centre - and researchers from University College London (UCL).

Commercial conflict remains one of the least visible drivers of cost, delay and operational risk in modern organisations. As enterprises increasingly adopt AI across commercial operations, the ability to combine domain expertise, behavioural insight and advanced intelligence systems is becoming a critical differentiator. This partnership further solidifies that differentiation in the market.

The collaboration will accelerate ongoing research and development within ResoLabs, bringing together AI engineers, data scientists, and researchers from major corporations and academic institutions to advance the intelligence systems underpinning commercial conflict detection, prediction and resolution. By collaborating with UCL researchers, Resolutiion is combining applied engineering, commercial intelligence and world-class academic insight to strengthen the evidence-led foundations behind its conflict and delivery risk infrastructure.

It forms part of ResoLabs’ broader commitment to building the rigorous, evidence-led foundation required for operational judgement in complex commercial delivery environments.

On the partnership, Jim Berry, Head of Academic Forum at UCL, said “Resolutiion is taking an important step in building an evidence-led foundation for its platform. I am pleased to be assisting the team in forming an Academic Forum that will bring together diverse academic and industry perspectives to support the development of the advanced AI knowledge base behind its commercial platform. By linking platform innovation with rigorous research and practitioner insight, Resolutiion is helping shape a more informed, intelligent approach to commercial delivery, risk, and dispute resolution.”

Jim Berry is a globally recognised expert in innovation leadership, negotiation and organisational change, and one of the most cited researchers at the UCL School of Management. The founder of the UCL MBA, he has spent nearly two decades teaching and advising thousands of international leaders across government, corporate and non-profit environments, including current work with HM Treasury on navigating disruption through scenario planning. Before academia, he founded organisations, built consulting practices and held leadership roles across multiple industries; experience that shapes his approach to bridging rigorous research with real-world application, translating complex thinking on conflict, negotiation and creative problem-solving into frameworks that organisations can act on.

Katarzyna Hewelt, Head of AI and Data at Resolutiion and lead of ResoLabs, commented: “Everyone is shipping AI, but few are building the deep, domain-specific expertise required to make these systems operationally reliable in complex commercial environments. Partnering with UCL researchers enables us to combine advanced academic thinking with applied engineering and real-world commercial insight. That is critical to building intelligence systems capable of navigating the complexity of conflict, negotiation, delivery pressure, and resolution at enterprise scale.”

The collaboration marks the first in a broader programme of academic and research partnerships being developed through ResoLabs, as Resolutiion continues to expand the intelligence infrastructure required for proactive commercial delivery control.
